Subsea sensors, electronics and control systems that are designed, built and pressure-tested in one place – so you get a working, documented product with one point of contact.
AC-PSH-04 · Subsea proximity sensor technology refined through four generations and designed for long-term offshore reliability.
I am a subsea engineer and product developer with around 9 years of hands-on experience in the subsea and oil & gas industry in Aberdeen. My work has covered the full lifecycle of subsea equipment, from concept and detailed design through manufacturing, integration and testing to delivery to the customer.
I worked on ROV systems, subsea sensors, control systems, electronics bottles, launch and recovery systems (LARS), valve packs and intervention equipment. I was involved in building more than 100 inspection-class ROVs, and later ran my own engineering and product development company in Aberdeen, AC SmartSolutions. Its clients included Shell, BP, Helix Well Ops and Tidal Generation (Rolls-Royce).
Today I work as an R&D / Technology Manager running a large engineering lab, and I am a co-inventor on U.S. patents. I am now bringing my subsea business and products back to market.

Instead of separate suppliers for design, electronics, manufacturing and testing, you work with one engineer who owns the whole job.
A selection of subsea, offshore and renewable energy projects delivered for clients including Helix Well Ops, Tidal Generation (Rolls-Royce), All Oceans Engineering and Shell.

My latest Hall-effect subsea proximity sensor, for ROV tooling, subsea winches, valve packs, LARS and position indication.
Through-hole M20 mounting with two nuts. No brackets to design, no adjustment once set.
Solid 316L sensing face, no window, seal or moving parts at the face.
Hyperbaric test with live switching under pressure and a serial-numbered certificate.
Delivered in a hard case with PTFE magnet, A4 screw, M20 nuts and silicone grease.
Design issues found in earlier AC-PSH models in the field are solved in this one.
A cost-effective alternative to traditional subsea proximity sensors, with short lead times from Europe.
Typical AC-PSH series delivery kit shown.Delivered ready to install. Each unit is supplied with a serial-numbered hyperbaric pressure test certificate, in a protective hard case with actuator magnet, M20 nuts and silicone grease.
Private subsea development workshop and test facility in Poland.
